Well, after the crazyness of last night, I took a good look at the front page of this site (which I haven't done in a long time) and realized the last time I made a news post was over 3 months ago! So I decided to make a brief post here just getting you guys up to date. First things first...
I know you guys are all worried i'm shutting down my vent server. That's not gonna happen. I'm not posting the info up on here, but you can ask someone you know from ytmndongs and i'm sure they'll have it.
Another thing you've probably noticed is the google ads at the top of the page. Yes, I just signed up for adsense to make a few bucks for the site. Click the links IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in them.

Well now thanks to Dreamhost, I now have new hosting with 500 GB of storage and 5 TB of bandwidth! This means I can now start working on some new pages. You may have noticed the new navigation buttons I just added at the top of the page. Well finally after several months of downtime because my old host dropped me. I finally got some free hosting from x10 hosting and got the site back up. I also got the old forums restored to their original form and I added a new feature to add comments on the news posts.

After slaving for hours over php and mysql, I have coded the basis for the new flyinglobsters.com user account system. You can now register here.
Also I plan to use the user accounts to access certian parts of the website you can't while not logged in. I am also working on a new news comment system where you can make comments on these news posts when logged in.

It has been awhile since the last time I have posted an update, but I have been very busy lately. For starters I took off some of the clutter that was the ad for the store and the Scientology thing off the front page. I am also trying to work on a user registration system for the front page. I\'m not going to make any guarentees though.
Also the Flying Lobster Radio Show has not been getting many listeners lately. I need to find another way to advertise for the show. Hit me up on my email if you have any ideas and be sure to listen this Friday!

Yes, the Flying Lobster Radio Show has returned to Ozone Radio after a few months of not airing the show. Check out the show this Friday night at 9 PM! I will be taking live requests with the new flying lobsters phone line and also via email. Click on the FL Radio link at the top menu to check out all the info for the show!

Well, after several weeks of trying to make a new layout for flyinglobsters.com I have found something out. I HATE FLASH!!! First I tried to make an all black theme layout to get away from the orange. Then I figured orange went well with flyinlgobsters.com, so I tried to make an all flash layout with different tabs for the pages. The problem with that is: 1. I couldn't figure out how to integrate MySQL into flash for the news posts. 2. I couldn't put the flash soundboards onto the flash layout and make it look nice. and 3. Since the entire site was based off of an swf file, everything was dumped into the root directory. So there were no /staff or /soundboard directories, which I didn't like very much.
So I finally just brought back the old layout wasp made awhile back and made a few minor changes to it until I can come up with a better layout. Also I was listening to Third Eye Blind while I was typing this news post, if you were curious about the title :P

Yes, I (with the help of Michie <3) restored the forums once again. All of the old posts are back and stuff. Also I made a cafepress store for flyinglobsters here. Check it out and buy a T-Shirt or something. All money I get from the items will go towards something cool for flyinglobsters.com (I haven't decided exactly what yet). That's about all for now!

Yes, I have designed a new (less orange) layout! Some changes include the width of the main table, some changing of colors on the whole site (except the forums), and a new flash banner. I also made a new flash intro page and added some profile info on the staff page. I'm also working on a new prank calls page with a flash mp3 player to play the calls right on the site. Another thing is I updated the news to display only the last three news posts. All the older news posts can still be found in the news archive. Also all the previous site layouts can still be found here for old times sake!
In the future I am thinking about changing the layout on the forums to look like the main site's design.

I bring you this update to announce a few plans for the future of flyinglobsters. First off, no Posty did not buy the site, it was a joke for the lolz, the roast of BluToof pretty much failed, and the Pentagon didn't take over the website. also David Farris. The next thing is the FL Ventrilo server will be shutting down October 3 when the next bill is due. This is because nobody ever uses it, and I don't feel like paying $15/month for it anymore. On the bright side I just got panel admin on the YTMND Vent so hopefully things will stay half way under control, so we won't need another server anyway.
The main thing I want to mention in this news post is the new layout I am working on (without the help of Wasp this time!). I have it mostly set how I want, I just need to make a new logo. Last but not least, the email is once again working on flyinglobsters so feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns at alextide32@flyinglobsters.com.

Well... it's been awhile (about a month) since my last news post.I haven't really had time to keep the site updated since I have started school and been busy with school work, and it will probably be that way for awhile now. I am just making this brief news post to let you all know I am still alive. Also I purchased a ventrilo server from NationVoice.com for flyinglobsters! It is just a small 25 slot ventrilo server for small chats when things on ytmnd vent get out of hand. Just a quick news post here to update you on a few things. First, you may have noticed the color scheme on flyinglobsters was inverted for a few days on the home page and the forums. Yes, I was very bored so I decided to make an inverted theme for flyinglobsters. The old index inverted page can still be found here. Also the inverted scheme is still on the forums, just go to your personal options and change the theme to "FL Inverted".
The next thing I would like to mention is the thing that makes owning websites like this worthwhile. Yes, I finally recieved a complaint email from DX30 (I assume) asking to take down the DX30 soundboard. While the email was probably a joke it's still worth posting: flyinglobsters.com/dx30email.txt.

As you might have noticed, the site was down for a little bit recently. This was due to my hosting dropping me and all his other client's websites from his hosting, but we won't go there. Anyhow, thanks to Sapphi, flyinglobsters.com now has new hosting on the Sekai no Melody server and after much hard work and uploading, I have managed to get the site somewhat back to what it used to be. The only backup of the MySQL database for the forums i could find was a few months old and a few users that registered after April 17, 2007 were lost. So if your account on the forums has been deleted, please contact me or register a new account.
Another thing I would like to mention is we have a new crew member joining us to help us out with flash stuff on the site! Please welcome Lupin as our new flash programer on flyinglobsters.com!

I have returned from Florida! It was a pretty fun trip. Mostly just laying out on the beach soaking up the sun (or in my case getting sun burnt). Anyhow, I took some photos with my camera and i'll try to get those uploaded in the new flyinglobsters.com photo gallery. Also you may have noticed the homepage being replaced by a flash of Chris Hanson with wipeout playing in the background. That was, of course, the doing of the man who hosts my website, who decided to move my site to another folder for whatever reason and replace it with that flash which can still be viewed here. Also I decided to make the index page for flyinglobsters.com to be a random image of whatever I feel like putting up with a cool sound loop. So now the homepage has been moved to home.php. Thats about all I have for this update!

I have a few things to mention in this news post. First off is I will be leaving for Panama City, Florida for vacation tomorrow and I will be gone all this week. I am taking my laptop so I might get on vent or IRC if I can find a signal at the hotel I will be staying at. Also I will be taking my digital camera so I might post some pics when I get back.

For the past few months I have been trying to get an IRC quote engine set up. The past few weeks I have been messing around with the script and I finally got it wokring! It is setup on http://flyinglobsters.com/quotes. Also the bot on IRC is setup in #ytmndongs on EFnet. So hop on IRC and type !randquote for a random quote or !quotehelp for a list of quotes! Another thing I would like to mention is you may notice a login box under the logo and new links. I am currently coding the new user system for flyinglobsters and plan to have it done soon! I just need to fix the user registration script and we're good to go! Also, if you're feeling like an idiot and want to ban yourself from flyinglobsters.com, I have set up a nifty little button above that says "BAN ME!". If you click it your IP will be banned from flyinglobsters.com until whenever I feel like clearing your IP off the ban list.

Well it's been awhile since the last news post. I haven't really done much to the site lately. I am currently working on coding the admin panel. I am also working on a new user registration system which probably won't be done for a long time! Also I am out of school on summer break so I should have more time to work on the site and get some things done.
The main reason I made this news post though is to bring you up to date on some new domains I just purchased: flyinglobsters.net, flyinglobsters.info, alextide32.net, couchfire.info and iamfuckingawesome.info. I set up flyinglobsters.info to redirect to here and flyinglobsters.net is my new vhost on IRC. I'm also working on making a profile for myself on alextide32.net. Another thing I bought was 6 more months of shell hosting on sh3lls.net. Be sure to check us out on EFnet @ #ytmndongs.

Evening chums! Delightful news on this fine night, as I have FINALLY gotten around to doing this news script.
